In 1994 Glynis commenced private practice as an occupational therapist in Sydney, NSW and in 2019 Glynis relocated her private practice to Varsity Lakes, Qld. Since commencing private practice in 1994 Glynis has since built a reputation as one of Australia's leading occupational therapists in provision of medico-legal reports. She has provided expert opinion and evidence in catastrophic cases in Australia and Internationally.
Glynis qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1980. Her experience includes having worked in acute and rehabilitation hospitals; community organisations, industrial settings, insurance companies and private practice. Glynis' work experience includes having worked with children and adults, with various diagnoses including neurological conditions, head injuries, orthopaedic injuries, cerebral palsy, musculoskeletal injuries and spinal cord injuries.
Glynis has extensive experience and particular interest in cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury. During her career she has established and managed the occupational therapy services in two spinal cord injury units. She was a senior therapist in a school for children with cerebral palsy and other major and complex medical conditions.
Glynis has a strong interest in continuing education and has completed a Life Care Planning Certification Course in the United States of America. Her specialised interest in Life Care Planning is with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and catastrophic injuries.
